ABOUT ME

Capturing the beauty I saw in even the simplest of things drew me to photography at a young age.

As is so often the case, I was encouraged to take a more traditional path, a less creative one, and as a result I have two (2) degrees in fields that whilst practical, didn’t fuel my passion.

But receiving a digital camera in the early 2000’s had me finally embark on a path that makes me truly happy. Being able to immortalise an instant that to others might appear quite ordinary, but to you holds so much meaning is an incredible feeling.

Choosing a photographer is a very personal thing. You’re asking someone to share in and preserve an intimate moment in your life. It’s important to choose someone you resonate with.

I believe photography is all about connection. Discovering what makes you laugh, what you love, how you’re feeling, and understanding your story allows me to capture the essence of a moment. Whether it’s a special day, a time to celebrate your family, or your child at play, it’s this essence that shines through and stays with you forevermore.

A photograph should make you feel something.

When you’re doing something you’re not only good at, but you love, everything falls into place and you can create magic. Your photos should be entirely unique. I prefer to veer away from predictable poses and what’s trendy and instead focus on bringing out the inner beauty I see - in people, backgrounds and situations.

It’s this passion that I bring to each of my photo shoots.

When I’m not behind a camera lens, you’ll find me baking bread, painting, tending my small African violet collection or walking our beloved pooch.
